Site is finally live!

Hello! My name is Brian and I'm the grandson of Matt Riesgraf. This page has been a LONG time in the making and I'm sorry for taking so long to bring something Normatt related to the web. My grandpa has been sitting on tons of great history about his home-grown toy brand that really needs to be made available digitally.  I will do my best to upload as many pictures as I can and to provide a oral history of the brand. I'd even like to record some video of my Grandpa telling the Normatt story to upload to youtube.

I really want to try to preserve the legacy of this toy brand because it was very important to my grandpa and my father. My dad worked in the factory and helped assemble the snowmobiles as a "first job", and my uncle Mark is the blond haired boy you see in all the Normatt marketing materials. Back in the early 70's my grandpa left his coporate job to roll the dice with this growing toy brand and he looks back fondly on his experience trying to launch a toy company from nothing.

It's amazing and humbling that these toys have found an audience with Toy collectors and snowmobile enthusiasts all these years later. My grandpa loves seeing that people collect and purchase these toys on the aftermarket. It make's him very proud to know that his toys brought joy to people. I grew up around these metal snowmobiles all my life.. I had a few that me and my brother beat up on. I remember making my He-Man toys ride the sleds. All my family members had snowmobiles that my Grandpa gave them too. I remember going to extended family member's houses and seeing a Normatt snowmobile proudly displayed on a shelf.

Please bookmark this page! I'll be updating it fast and furious now that I have the basic template established. Thanks for visiting!
